Our counselors strive to create a safe holding space to explore the obstacles you are facing. With your commitment and investment, our counselors are equipped to help you process through and see transformation in:

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • relationship conflict

  • parenting challenges

  • financial stressors

  • life transitions

  • grief/loss

  • trauma

  • stress management

  • occupational challenges

What can I expect during my first visit?

Our goal is to make your first visit and the overall process of counseling as seamless as possible. Prior to your first visit, you will receive a link to our practice portal with some brief pre-session paperwork to complete. Your first session will involve a review of informed consent, our practice policies, confidentiality, and what your hopes and goals are for the counseling experience. The first session will include gathering relevant information that will help us begin to understand your unique story. We welcome and encourage any questions you may have before, during, and after the initial session in order for you to feel confident moving forward.

What are the costs for counseling?

The costs for counseling session vary by service and provider. We offer a limited amount of sliding scale services based on eligibility and income. Payment is due on the date of service and can be made via credit card, cash, or check.

Will my insurance cover counseling?

Siv is currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna PPO and our office will bill for you under these plans. Clients wishing to use a different insurance plan can utilize their out-of-network (OON) benefits. With OON, Siv will collect the full session fee at the time of your appointment and provide you with an itemized superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance for reimbursement.

While we are out-of-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield HMOs, clients may be able to contact their provider directly and negotiate a 50/50 mental health agreement.

Siv is also able to accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) as payment options.

Do you prescribe medication?

Our counselors are not authorized to prescribe medication. We encourage you to discuss medication options with a psychiatrist who is trained in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health, behavioral, and emotional disorders. We are happy to collaborate with your prescribing provider and will provide a release of information to coordinate care at your request.
